Pablo Jansana, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, MAC, Chile, 5 April – 23 June

Adormecer a los felices presents the recent work of Chilean artist Pablo Jansana (Santiago, 1976). The exhibition at Museo De Arte Contemporáneo in Santiago Chile is made up of a selection of small, medium and large format works that display, as a whole, a colorful pictorial and conceptual exercise. This series integrates various material and chromatic proposals that provide an overview of his political, emotional and visual thinking in recent history. To create them, Jansana has taken as a basis elements from various fields, such as literature, cinema, critical theory, visual culture and the mass media; and he has focused his attention on investigating traumatic memory, symbols of national identity, everyday aspects of life, some news events, as well as the dreams, desires and failures of the period known as post-dictatorship.
