Biography & CV
Ragna Braase (1929-2013) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Braase recieved her BFA from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1953 and her MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1957. From 1968, she lived and worked in the Parisian suburb Marcoussis with her husband, Danish sculptor Ib Braase (1923-2009).
Selected solo exhibitions include the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK), Copenhagen, Denmark (2020); Kastrupgårdsamlingen, Tårnby, Denmark (1985); Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum, Aalborg, Denmark (1980) and the Danish Museum of Art & Design, Copenhagen, Denmark (1980).
The artist is represented in several prominent public collections, including ARoS, the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) and Sorø Kunstmuseum in Denmark and Musée national d’Art moderne Centre Pompidou in France.
