Biography & CV
Marie Søndergaard Lolk (b. 1981, Denmark) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lolk received her MFA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2008).
Recent solo exhibitions include Vestjyllands Kunstpavillon, Videbæk, Denmark (2020); Huset i Asnæs, Asnæs, Denmark (2019) and Thorvaldsens Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark (2016). Lolk’s work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions including Nikolaj Kunsthal, Copenhagen, Denmark (2022); Den Frie Udstillingsbygning, Copenhagen, Denmark (2019); Sorø Kunstmuseum, Sorø, Denmark (2012) and Kunstmuseum Brandts, Odense, Denmark (2011). She received the Franciska Clausen Medal in 2017, The Danish Art Councils 3 Year Work Grant in 2013 and the Carnegie Art Scholarship Award in 2010.
The artist is represented in the public collections of Copenhagen Municipality, the Council for Visual Arts, the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) and The New Carlsberg Foundation in Denmark and Malmö Konstmuseum in Sweden.
