Biography & CV
Andreas Eriksson (b. 1975 in Björsäter, Sweden) lives and works in Lidköping, Sweden. Eriksson received his MA from the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm (1998).
Solo exhibitions include Lillehammer Museum, Norway (2024), Espace Muraille, Geneva, Switzerland (2023), Skissernas Museum, Lund, Sweden (2021); De 11 Linjen, Oudenburg, Belgium (2021); The Nordic Watercolour Museum, Skärhamn, Sweden (2020); Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm, Sweden (2014) and mumok, Vienna, Austria (2008). Eriksson has participated at the São Paulo Biennal in 2012, at the Venice Biennale in 2011 with a solo exhibition at the Nordic Pavilion, as well as the 5th Nordic Bienniale of Contemporary Art in 2009. He was awarded the Baloise Art Prize in 2007.
The artist is represented in several prominent public collections worldwide, including mumok in Austria; X Museum in China; Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark; Musée national d’Art moderne Centre Pompidou in France; Nasjonalmuseet in Norway; Göteborgs Konstmuseum and Moderna Museet in Sweden; Nasher Sculpture Park and Rubell Family Collection in the USA.
