Andreas Eriksson, Lillehammer Kunstmuseum, 13 April - 25 August

The exhibition "The house is leaning, but the curtains hang straight" is the largest exhibition by the renowned artist Andreas Eriksson in Norway. The overarching theme of the exhibition is the encounter between nature and architecture. At Lillehammer Art Museum, textiles, paintings, and sculptural objects are the dominant expressions. Several of the works are newly created and specially adapted to the museum's architecture. Andreas Eriksson gained early international recognition, notably at Art Basel Statement in 2007, where he won the prestigious Baloise Art Prize, and later at the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2011. The themes have largely revolved around experiences of and with nature. In recent years, interest in architectural elements has become more pronounced in his works. In the exhibition at Lillehammer Art Museum, nature and architecture come together.

We congratulate gallery artist Andreas Eriksson, who is currently exhibiting at Thielska Galleriet in Stockholm, in the exhibition Touching. Andreas Eriksson and Edvard Munch. Eriksson's prints - a perhaps lesser known category of works in his oeuvre - are thus brought into a new, lively dialogue with the Norwegian artist's graphic works, whereby new meanings and qualities can be examined in their distinctive practices. The Belgic exhibition space De 11 Lijnen shows a collection of Andreas Eriksson's (b. 1975) various works in the exhibition Andreas Eriksson: Rochade. Andreas Eriksson, Skissernas Museum, 10 Jun – 10 Oct 2021

Andreas Eriksson (b. 1975) opens his second solo exhibition at Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artist Process and Public Art, Lund, Sweden. The exhibition titled Andreas Eriksson – Weavings, sketches sheds light on the renowned Swedish artist's practice, where in the watercolours, sketches, and weaving samples gathered provide insight into his sensitive approach to art making.
